Patty Jenkins to Direct Remake of Jo Nesbo's JACKPOT

‘Godzilla’ scribe will adapt the action-comedy…

‘Monster’ helmer Patty Jenkins has signed on to take the director’s chair for ‘Jackpot,’ an English-language remake of the 2011 Norwegian hit.

Based on a story by Norway’s leading crime writer, Jo Nesbø, the original action-comedy told of four men with shady pasts who win 1,7 million in a soccer pool. However it turns out to be difficult to divide the money by four, things escalate to lethal proportions.

Screenwriter David Callaham (‘Godzilla,’ ‘The Expendables’) is on board to provide the script.
