Orlando Bloom and Djimon Honsou Attached to ZULU

Fear not, this is not a remake of the 1964 war film starring Michael Caine.

French writer and filmmaker Jérôme Salle (‘Anthony Zimmer’) is set to direct Orlando Bloom and Djimon Honsou in the gritty Cape Town set thriller ‘Zulu,’ reports Screen Daily.

Based on the procedural novel by Caryl Férey, the story follows “two Cape Town police officers with roots on either side of the apartheid divide, working together to fight lawlessness in the city in a post-apartheid era.”

A July start date is set, with Salle directing from his a screenplay he co-wrote with longtime collaborator Julien Rappeneau.
