Horror-Western continues to line up awesome cast.
‘Justified’ star Timothy Olyphant has closed a deal to join Kurt Russell, Peter Sarsgaard, Richard Jenkins, and Jennifer Carpenter on the cast of the horror-Western ‘Bone Tomahawk.’
The feature directorial debut of screenwriter S. Craig Zahler, the “brutally violent” tale follows four men – a sheriff (Russell), a gunslinger, a befuddled oldster (Jenkins) and a cowboy (Sarsgaard) – who attempt to rescue a group of captives from a band of cannibalistic troglodytes that live beyond the edge of civilization.
Deadline reports that Olyphant will take the role of the eloquent gunslinger, who moved to the frontier in order to satisfy the dark impulses that lie beneath his polished exterior.
Production is scheduled to kick off spring 2013 in New Mexico.
