Nolte Circling BITTERROOT

Actor circles Black List script.

Nick Nolte has reportedly entered talks to star in ‘Bitterroot,’ the feature directorial debut of music video and commercials director Chris Milk.

According to Variety, the ‘Warrior’ star would be playing an aging rancher in Montana who gets swindled out of his life savings in a bank scam. Unable to find someone to hold accountable, the rancher grabs his guns and heads to Bitterroot on horseback to retrieve his money.

The Black List script by was penned by Michael Gilio, and will be produced by Gore Verbinski, who was originally attached to direct.

Nolte will next be seen on screen in Ruben Fleischer’s period crime drama ‘Gangster Squad’ and the Robert Redford-directed political thriller ‘The Company You Keep.’
