Noble Jones to Direct AMERICAN PSYCHO Remake

Another unnecessary remake in development.

Deadline has word that commercials and music video director Noble Jones is set to make his feature directorial debut with an “updated low budget remake” of ‘American Psycho.’

Jones, a protégé of David Fincher having worked as on the second unit of ‘The Social Network,’ pitched the idea to Lionsgate. His new take on the Bret Easton Ellis novel brings yuppie serial killer Patrick Bateman into modern day New York City, factoring in how the world has changed since the 1980s setting of Ellis’ novel.

Mary Harron previously adapted the novel in 2000 with Christian Bale in the role of the wealthy investment banker by day who becomes a homicidal maniac by night.
