Cage attached to psycho-thriller.
Nicolas Cage and German actress Veronica Ferres (‘Klimt,’ ‘Saviors in the Night’) are set to star in the psychological thriller ‘Black Butterfly,’ for director Brian Goodman (‘What Doesn’t Kill You’), reports THR.
In the movie Cage will play Paul, a reclusive author who befriends a drifter, with fatal consequences. The movie is based on Christian Faure’s French TV thriller ‘Papillon noir’ which starred Stephane Freiss and ex-footballer Eric Cantona as the drifter.
‘Black Butterfly’ marks the first English-language production of German production outfit Bavariapool, The $13 million feature will begin shooting early next year in eastern Germany.
