Star eyes role in indie film.

Nicolas Cage (‘The Croods,’ ‘Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance,’ ‘Drive Angry’) has entered into talks to team with director director Terry Zwigoff (‘Art School Confidential,’ ‘Bad Santa,’ ‘Ghost World’) for the indie feature ‘Lost Melody.’

Per TheWrap, the film would see Cage playing a man who’s trapped in “a marriage to a shrewish wife and falls in love with a prostitute.”

‘Lost Melody’ will be produced by Edward R. Pressman (‘Thank You For Smoking,’ ‘The Crow,’ ‘American Psycho’).

Cage will next be seen starring opposite John Cusack and Vanessa Hudgens in the thriller ‘The Frozen Ground,’ opening in Irish cinemas July 19th.
