Danish director lines up next project.
‘Brass Monkey’ helmer Nicolai Fuglsig has been tapped to take directing duties on ‘Taking Gotham,’ a $60 million action thriller that is scheduled to go into production next March.
Scripted by Thomas Kelly and based on actual events, the film will follow “a secret unit of the NYPD that was created in response to a string of brutal robberies in New York City. After a deadly sting operation, the elite unit is disavowed by the NYPD, forcing them to go deep underground in order to clear their names.”
Randall Emmett and George Furla will produce via Emmett/Furla Films along with Hollywood Gang’s Gianni Nunnari and Gotham Group’s Ellen Goldsmith Vein and Michael Prevett.
