Nick Cassavetes Drops Out Of GOTTI THREE GENERATIONS

Scheduling conflicts force director to leave Gotti biopic

Nick Cassavetes (‘Alpha Dog,’ ‘The Notebook’) has pulled out of directing the biopic, ‘Gotti: Three Generations,’ according to Variety.

The director, who only last week appeared at a press conference in New York to officially announce his involvement in the project, has been released from his ‘Gotti: Three Generations’ contract due to scheduling conflicts with his indie drama ‘Yellow,’ starring Sienna Miller, Ben Foster, Hank Azaria, and Luke Wilson. Cassavetes will be serving both writer and and director on the indie drama.

A new director is being sought for the Gotti biopic, and executive producer Marc Fiore is still set on beginning production this Autumn. The cast for the biopic currently includes John Travolta, the recently announced Joe Pesci and Travolta’s 11-year-old daughter, Ella Bleu. Lindsay Lohan’s is currently in negotiations to join the project.
