Nicholas Hoult to KILL YOUR FRIENDS

Britpop indie to film later this month…

Nicholas Hoult (‘X-Men: Days of Future Past,’ ‘Warm Bodies’) is set to headline the upcoming dark indie comedy ‘Kill Your Friends,’ according to reports.

Based on the 2008 novel of the same name by Scottish author John Niven, the tale is set in 1997 at the height of the Britpop scene and follows Steven Stelfox (Hoult), an A&R man burning his way through the music industry, fuelled by greed and inhuman quantities of cocaine, searching for the next hit record amid a relentless orgy of self-gratification.

Jim Piddock (‘Family Tree,’ ‘The Five-Year Engagement’) also stars, playing Derek Summers, the managing director of Stelfox’s record label.

Production kicks off this month with BAFTA-nominated Owen Harris (‘Holy Flying Circus’) directing from a screenplay adapted by Niven.
