According to Variety, Sam Worthington has joined the cast of murder mystery Texas Killing Fields.
The story follows two police officers who take on a case of disappearances and homicides, stretching back 20 years and 60 victims, in the wastelands surrounding Gulf Coast refineries. The Avatar actor will play a local cop who teams up with a New York officer to track down the murderers.
Michael Mann (Heat, Public Enemies) is producing the movie. His daughter Ami Canaan Mann will direct the picture.
