Ted Danson has been confirmed for the upcoming drama Everybody Loves Whales.
Danson joins Vinessa Shaw, Kristen Bell, John Krasinski and Drew Barrymore in the film, which follows the true story of a news reporter (Krasinski) and a Greenpeace volunteer (Barrymore) who try to save three gray whales trapped under ice in the Arctic Circle.
Dansonis reportedly playing an oil man who has no interest in saving the whales.
Based on the book Freeing the Whales: How the Media Created the World's Greatest Non-Event by Tom Rose, the film will be helmed by Ken Kwapis.
