Red helmer Robert Schwentke has been hired to direct the supernatural action film R.I.P.D.
Based on Peter Lenkov's Dark Horse comic, the film which stars Ryan Reynolds, centres on two police officers -- one recently dead and one who's been dead for hundreds of years.
Phil Hay and Matt Manfredi are writing the screenplay with Mike Richardson, founder and President of Dark Horse, and Lawrence Gordon will producing.
