Brendan McCarthy talks possible Doctor Strange movie

Pixar are reportedly eyeing a possible CGI Doctor Strange movie.

In an interview with Bad Librarianship, Comic artist Brendan McCarthy said that he discussed an adaptation of the Marvel Comic during a meeting with Disney/Pixar:

"I was over in Hollywood earlier this year mooching about, and I had a meeting at Disney and the conversation drifted around to Pixar animating a Doctor Strange movie... Now, wouldn't that be nice," he told the website.

McCarthy also revealed that he has pitched a crossover between Vertigo's Sandman and the 'Sorcerer Supreme'.

Could be good although I'm not gonna believe this yet. All he said is they are discussing it at the moment.

Would like to see a Dr. Strange movie, not sure on the crossover with the Sandman though. I'm not sure I want to see Sandman made into a movie ever as I don't think it'll work.

Pixar would be an interesting choice, it would certainly make the fantastical elements of the story easier to produce, wonder if a live action/CGI hybrid would work
Strange is very much a niche character, so I'd wonder about his wider appeal

I think a Dr Strange movie alone would be enough
sounds like they are putting the bar up pretty high for a 90 minute movie.

But I am interested to see what Pixar do with the Dr

Didn't you see the animated one from a few years back? It's not bad but up to what a great Dr Strange story could be.
