Moranis for Ghostbusters 3

movie news | 09 Sep 2010 | 6 comments

Who you going call? Louis Tully!

Rick Moranis will allegedly star in Ghostbusters 3.

Moranis retired from acting to raise his children following the death of his wife in 1991, however reports have it the actor has been tempted back to the franchise.

The Honey, I Shrunk The Kids star played Louis Tully in the two '80s comedy films, becoming villain "The Keymaster" in the first then an honorary Ghostbuster in the second.

Screenwriters Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky's story allegedly follows original Ghostbusters Venkman, Ray Stantz (Dan Aykroyd), Egon Spengler (Harold Ramis) and Winston Zeddemore (Ernie Hudson) handing over the reins to fresh bunch of recruits.

Now that you mention it I haven't seen him in a film in a long time. Didn't know he had retired. I hope he comes back, it won't really be Ghostbusters with him. Well technically it will be Ghostbusters once all the Ghostbusters are there but you know what I mean.

I didn't know about his retirement at all. Fair play to him for his reasonings alone and not making a show and dance about it.
    And Woo Ghostbusters!

    Who ya gonna call?

He retired - I thought people jsut stopped casting him coz he was annoying - but it wouldnt be a ghostbuster film without him.... and its sad about his wife so I have respect for him now (as a person not as an actor)

Please bin this idea, its been going on way too long now and the world doesn't need another Ghostbusters film. No matter who they cast they will not be better than the original cast and I can guarantee they'll be annoying as hell.
This from one of the biggest Ghostbuster fans around.
