Back To The Future to return in 2010

The classic Michael J Fox movie will get an Irish re-release next year

Yesterday Universal Ireland held a presentation promoting their upcoming slate of films. New footage was shown from upcoming movies like 'Kick Ass', 'Eagle Of The Ninth', 'Robin Hood', 'Paul', 'Despicable Me', 'Repo Men', 'The Wolfmen' and 'Green Zone', amongst many others. 'Kick Ass' definitely stole the day, we can't wait until we're able to get our hands on the footage.

The biggest surprise to our movie knowledge filled brains was news of the re-release of 'Back To The Future'. Universal announced that the 80's are back in fashion and 2010 will be the year the Delorean. The Michael J Fox classic has been digitially remastered and the new print will receive a full cinema release in Ireland, backed by a large promotional campaign.

The news was backed up with the original teaser trailer, similar to this one from Youtube below.

I wonder what are the chances of remastering the sequels, too? has to be worth doing, it's one of the few trilogies with no rubbish instalment.

Well the dvd and bluray and out in October so i reckon it could be around then.

Im pretty pissed about the Dvd box as i already own countless versions and yet theres new features yet again. This must be the ultra definitive special edition most awesomo super dooper  supercalifragilistic boxset release.
