New Tony Blair film

Sheen, Morgan to complete Blair trilogy

Michael Sheen and Peter Morgan will reteam to make a third movie about ex-Prime Minister Tony Blair.

The film, which is being referred to as The Special Relationship, will focus on Blair’s friendship with Bill Clinton during the last three years of his Presidency.

Screenwriter Morgan, who will make his directorial debut on the movie, initially planned to include George W. Bush as well but chose to narrow the story’s time frame.

Sheen has previously played Blair in The Queen and TV movie The Deal, both scripted by Morgan. The pair have also worked together on the upcoming Frost/Nixon and Brian Clough biopic The Damned United.
