Will Marc Webb see his inspiration in Marvel’s Ultimate Spider-Man comics?
Marc Webb’s reboot of Spider-Man is reportedly inspired by Marvel’s Ultimate Spider-Man comics.
According to MTV, Webb confirmed that the Brian Michael Bendis and Mark Bagley-created books are among his favourites before he announced he would lead the retooling of the film franchise.
“Stan Lee, big fan… love the Ultimate stuff,” the helmer said when asked whether he is a fan of Spider-Man at the Golden Globes.
Webb also reacted to rumours that his (500) Days of Summer star Joseph Gordon-Levitt is up for the role of Peter Parker:
“Joseph Gordon-Levitt would make a good Meryl Streep – he can do anything,” he added.
