Chuck Wepner biopic adds three.
Variety reports that Naomi Watts, Liev Schreiber and Christina Hendricks are set to join Jeff Feuerzeig’s boxing drama ‘The Bleeder.’
Feuerzeig co-wrote the script with Jerry Stahl (Bad Boys II) based on the story of Chuck Wepner, “The Bayonne Bleeder,” the former New Jersey heavyweight boxer who fought 15 rounds with Muhammad Ali. Wepner is also inspiration behind Sylvester Stallone’s ‘Rocky.’
euerzeig, who won the 2005 Sundance documentary directing award for ‘The Devil and Daniel Johnston,’ will be making his first narrative film with ‘The Bleeder.’
