Genre:

"X-Men Origins: Wolverine," the first chapter in the X-Men saga, unites Wolverine with several other legends of the X-Men universe, in an epic revolution that pits the mutants against powerful forces determined to eliminate them. The film also introduces a team of mutants, including several whose appearances in the movie series have been long anticipated. In addition, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" explores Logan's tragic romance with Kayla Silverfox. Kayla's fate triggers Logan's involvement with the ominous Weapon X program, a top secret, billion-dollar military experiment, in which Wolverine and other mutants are key players. They include Gambit, a young Scott Summers (later to be known as Cyclops); a beautiful young mutant named Emma Frost; and Deadpool, against whom Wolverine faces his ultimate challenge. While the three previous X-Men films were set in the not-too-distant future, the main story of "X-Men Origins: Wolverine"--as the saga's first chapter--is set prior to the events of those pictures, in the not-too-distant past, sometime in the 1970s. But the epic sweep of the new film also encompasses flashbacks that span 150 years.

Sloopy and badly done. There was so much potential on this that it would be hard to do it wrong, yet they found a way. Ending stank. 'E' Grade (and I rarely give them)

Good, but very unnecessary movie. You'll only watch it once.

okay..ish. I loved the the start of the film but then it descended further and further into being a missed opportunity. Ryan Reynolds was great at the start as Wade Wilson but they ruined the deadpool character later on in the film. Some of the effects suprisingly suck and there are some glaring plot holes. There are some enjoyable bits and Liv Schreiber is good as Sabertooth but its not enough to make this a hit in my opinion.

I would have to say that Fox have really ruined what could have been a great movie, no one could ever believe that the money that went into that movie was well spent, if you want a movie with CGI at least make it look good. and a note for Fox, Concepts don't sell the movie, its the content, how you deliver a story, how you develop a character. A movie is meant to stand out and want people like me to tell people it was great. This movie didn't do that at all.

This film breaks my heart in so many ways as the "committee" behind this movie seemed to have a mission statement to make one of comic's coolest characters and make him as uncool as possible. Stupid, insipid and inept. Undiluted garbage.

It is a bit "eh". There never was that big moment you expect in a big action movie. How did it compare to the other XMen movies? It was like microwave pizza VS the real Stone oven deal.

Wasn't expecting much but, I must say, I was pleasantly surprised. The story was good, although very predictable. I liked the characters and I thought Deadpool in the end was very good but I would have liked to have seen the transformation process more and his views on everything. Not so sure about the bullet/memory loss thing. It might have been more effective if they hadn't mentioned that they intended for him to lose his memory, and were just naive enough to think it might kill him. The surprise memory loss would have been more interesting. I couldn't really grasp Wolverine and Sabretooth being brothers. Even if Logan lost his memories; Victor didn't. And so wouldn't that have complicated their relationship in the first X-Men film?? (Also, Sabretooth's hair went a little cray in X-Men...?) Would've liked to have seen more of Gambit also, and might have been better if he were younger so that he could show up in a later X-Men film... All in all, not bad, but not as good as it could have been.
