Thanks to movies.ie for the tickets. A really good watch, some comedy some drama and some very good performances, George Clooney is good (though oscar nom worthy? not so sure) the real standout for me is Vera Farmiga, very believeable and absolutely stunning on screen

It's quite difficult for a film to be touching while not coming across as schmaltzy and manipulative. This movie pulls it off due to 3 things: Great performances (an outstanding Clooney) very sharp script, a director who can show sadness, humour and make it seem honest. Very prescient in the subject of firing people. Loved the cameos and thoroughly enjoyed this movie.

Surpassed my expectations. Although the characters can feel a little bit unrealistic in the screenwriter attempt to make his point; Also, I thought it was predictable, but the movie is well-written and full of witty lines and funny moments. Clooney played himself just as usual. There's no difference between this performance here and his Michael Clayton or any of those pompous roles he is used to play. Kendrick was very good in some scenes and Farmiga as well, but Farmiga's beauty was almost distracting! Stunning woman. The script feels like it was written by an old-school auteur and because of that, and if you know a little bit of cinema, you could actually know where the movie is going. And there were no surprises in the end. I recommend it for its importance as a social commentary and for its cinematic values; great music and top-notch production design.

I can't explain why this film is so mesmerizing. It has a feel very similar to 'Lost In Translation'. Very well written, the snappy dialog will put a smile on your face.

Really excellent comedy drama with an outstanding performance from George Clooney. Anna Kendrick also puts in an excellent supporting performance which should see her become a star. I am actually quite surprised how many laugh out loud moments there were. Highly recommended.
