"The Switch," is an offbeat comedy about Kassie, a smart, fun-loving single woman who, despite her slightly neurotic best friend Wally's objections, decides it's time to have a baby-even if it means doing it by herself- with a little help from a charming sperm donor. But, unbeknownst to her, Kassie's plans go awry because of a last-minute switch that isn't discovered until seven years later when Wally finally gets acquainted with Kassie's precocious-though slightly neurotic-son. From the people behind "Little Miss Sunshine" and "Juno" comes "The Switch," due in theaters this summer.

Movies.ie Critic Review

Aniston is the desperate mum-to-be who decides to go the turkey baster route, only to discover seven years later that her best friend (Bateman) thought it would be a good idea to switch the sperm sample with his own. And then they all die in a horrible Scrabble accident.

THE VERDICT: Aniston really should get her head out of the lonely hearts column and start reading these scripts – they're beginning to feel like the sort of join-the-dots monsters that McConaughey and Hudson usually sign up for. There may even be a chance that they passed on this one – it's that dull. Still, at least the great unwashed in the US stayed away in their millions; hopefully, everyone involved will be a little wiser – and funnier - next time.

A delightful rom-com! Very enjoyable, two part film where the first part is the two leads being friends and their little quips with each other and you wonder as to why they are friend. The second part is worth waitng for, the weird kid is worth seeing this film alone.

Funny parts are realtively funny but the chemistry between Aniston and the guy seem to be lacking and unrealistic. Gets you thinking that life is way too short!

I was pleasantly surprised, really enjoyed this movie. Jennifer Aniston was actually really good in this movie. Id advise to rent for bit of light watching - not a typical chick flick

Not as funny as it could have been but Jason Bateman steals the show. Its a slow moving cute movie that has heart.

Really enjoyable comedy, with an excellent leading performance from the ever reliable Jason Bateman. Jeff Goldblum is superb in a supporting role, and one crib would be that he should have got more to do.

Bateman and Jeff Goldblum are very good and interesting in this movie, but Aniston is not very good, the role could have been played by anyone, she brought nothing to it. Her role as a mother is one of those awful Hollywood mothers who have reasonable discussions with their kids... anyone with kids knows that discussion do not take place with 6 year olds, you have to set boundaries.
