Dumb and dumber German troops, homicidal hotties into doing laundry, creative enemy amputations without benefit of anesthesia, and martial arts hostile takeover of big bucks bank accounts that could have gone the less frenzied route of identity theft.

I thought I was going to have great fun watching this and there was fun to be had but I was mainly disappointed. This was due to it being as daft as a brush. The whole smoking to lose your scent thing is one example, healing large sword wounds with your mind is another. Although I like all the blood flying everywhere it just looks too fake and is obiviously CGI. The story is a bit weak but the action & fight scenes are decent enough. That said I would recommend Ong Bak 1 & 2 over this if your looking for a martial arts film.

I so wanted this movie to be excellent and to be fair the opening scenes were awesome. After that it’s a HUGE let down. Once they started the Europol storyline it all went downhill fast. It felt like there was two different script writers – one a huge ninja fan with Tarantino style gore and the other felt like a Mills & Boon writer (eugh). Had they just had ninjas for the full movie carrying on like they did at the start it would have been epic and awesome. Alas they chose to go down the love/cliché/something storyline. Huge huge huge disappointment. I mean how can you go wrong with ninjas????!

What I expected, a bit of mindless over the top fun. Very much like the 80's movie that were so over the top you had to like them. The movie doesn't take itself too seriously and it shows throughout, if you are going to do something like this you might as well go all out, and that is exactly what McTeigue aimed for, lots of blood, lots of action and lots of cheesy lines. Just remember to leave you brain at the door.

Pretty much what it says on the tin. Good action, cheesy dialogue. More of a dvd rental than cinema viewing.

I was very disappointed in Ninja Assassin. It failed to be funny, it moved too slowly for such a short work and the Ninja fight scenes were well done but underplayed. Rain does look good with out a shirt on, but that did not redeem this film, The flash backs were heavy handed and the plot rather weak. I hate to sound so negative but I do feel that the film has an almost 'unfinished' feel to it.

As with any movie called Ninja Assassin, you'd expect it to be a little over the top. Some good fight sequences but often too dark and the blood looked too CGI. Entertaining none the less. You get what you expect!

Throughly enjoyable, if a little bit silly splatter fest. One of those leave your brain at the door and just enjoy films.
