Worth a look. Streep is perfect but that may be my girl crush talking, Adam's character never stood a chance in keeping the audience as interested.
Surprisingly not the "chick-flick" I thought it would be. The two story-lines tell the stories of two women, who have so much in common, but are so different at the same time. We learn of both their lives, struggles, successes and failures in an extremly refreshing and entertaining way.
Worth the watch for the Julia portion of the story...in comparison the Julie story is boring and has a really annoying central character.
my mam liked it, that was enough for me not to watch it
Not a bad film. I sort of felt like it never really got going on either story though. But then I like closure in my films. 3.5/5
streep puts in anothe great performance in an easy film to watch
Lovely movie, very interesting script..
really enjoyable movie, well acted. Worth seeing!!
Very sweet. Loved Partly Cloudy!
Pointless.
Good film, made me very hungry. Meryl Streep plays her role flawlessly. i did feel that a lot of the character development was skipped over, and some interesting facts were ignored. Mostly in 2002, characters seemed to over-react to certain happenings and seemed a bit two dimensional... Though it's a good film, and do bring a snack!
Really lovely film, with plenty of laugh out loud moments. Meryl Streep, Stanley Tucci and Amy Adams are all excellent.
Really enjoyed this film. So hungry after watching it. Makes you want to start cooking.
You can never have enough of Meryl Strep
One for the ladies of a certain age methinks - two women eat and prepare a lot of food while Meryl Streep shrieks in a fashion that is almost unbearable. Stanley Tucci is the only thing that makes this film watchable but as he shares all of his scenes with Streep its a bit of a lose/lose.
