Quite a funny movie. Surprisingly, it has more funny moments than all the recent comedies you can name: Get Him to the Greek, Killers, etc. Part of its success with the audience is due to a perfect cast. Vanessa Paradis gives a nice performance and Romain Duris is both entertaining and witty as the heartbreaker. The only downside of the whole thing is the third act. It's stretched too much and the result is cheesy and unconvincing. It could have ended at least 15 minutes earlier and we would have felt satisfied. The ending comes across as forced and unnatural but you might forgive the screenwriter for this; the rest of the film is worth a look and a laugh. I'm sure Hollywood will remake it with Julia Roberts and Brad Pitt at some point.

I really lliked this movie. I went in firstly because I was looking forward to hearing French and secondly because I was curious to see Ms Paradis in a movie. The movie is entertaining, funny and gives you this nice, warm summer feeling that stays with you for the rest of the day and a little bit longer making you feel that tiny bit lighter. I very much enjoyed the movie and the performances of all actors. Definitly worth watching.

Set in the beautiful south of france this is an unusual film. The premis is unlikely who would pay just to break up a relationship. nevertheless a rich father thinks his daughter is making a mistake marrying An english man (the guy from This Life). Cue a brillent sting.I though it was a very funny film.

This has no redeeming features whatsoever, the existential musings ring false, it is frighteningly dull and I think it's supposed to be a comedy. The 'Curb' crowd will go for Larry David, but will probably be disappointed. It is, like our surly protagonists universe, utterly pointless.
