Our critics review will be added soon.
Ryan Kwantan is fantastic as the awkward kid that seems to get bullied where ever he goes. His caring but stupid brother has helped him out with a new job, and alpha male of the new office, Toby Shmitz, takes great pride in bullying poor Griff, again. Griff takes matters into his own hands and this is where the movie starts to make sense. Admittedly the first 20 minutes are confusing as we aren't sure if it is a super hero movie or a crime drama gone wrong. But the story unfolds very satisfactorily. Griff is introduced to a girl who takes a shine to Griff and pursues a romance with him, much to the horror of Griff who seemingly doesn't understand why anyone would want a bar of him. There are some very funny scenes of the two together and your imagination is taken for a ride. All of the characters play their parts very well. I can say that this is an unconventionally romantic comedy, somewhat akin to Mozart and the Whale. It gave me a warm fuzzy feeling and to that end, I would give it 4 stars.
There are moments of pure magic when we actually feel ourselves letting go of the limitations of the real world and find ourselves -- if only for a fleeting moment -- believing in Griff's world.
Mediocre and a little but strange. Wasn't what I expected at all. Wouldn't rush to recommend!
Not quite what I was expecting but still not bad. It's a touching story and a great performance by Ryan Kwanten. Decent watching.
