In this re-imagining of the classic horror film, Clay searches for his missing sister in the eerie woods of legendary Crystal Lake, where he stumbles on the creaky remains of rotting old cabins behind moss-covered trees. And, that's not the only thing lying in wait under the brush. Against the advice of police and cautions from the locals, Clay pursues what few leads he has, with the help of a young woman he meets among a group of college kids up for an all-thrills weekend. But, they are about to find much more than they bargained for. Little do they know, they've entered the domain of one of the most terrifying specters in American film history-the infamous killer who haunts Crystal Lake, armed with a razor-sharp machete--Jason Voorhees.

Really really good alot of gore and some very nice kills only problem. . it wasn't a jason movie. They created a new modern Jason to scare the new audience bt what was wrong with the menacingly slow walking but always caught up with you version?

A really enjoyable horror movie with an excellent performance from Jared Padalecki. As horrors go this one is one of the best I have seen.

absolute crap i have every friday the 13th there is and love them all (yes i know they are cheesy)this done nothing for the franchise there was no imagination to the storyline or the murders i was bored from start to finish .100% predictable shabby remake AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Not a remake, not a redux, just a boring attempt to bring Jason Voorhees to a modern audience with the help of loud 'music', loud noises that are supposed to scare us, very dull kills, oh and a load of jugs. An insult to fans of the series. Crap.

Not a bad reboot of the franchise, but doesn't break any new ground WHATSOEVER, take pretty much every horror movie cliche that was parodied in "Scary Movie" and yup its here, "couple having sex, first to die? - Check", "Annoying A$*hole boyfriend Vs honorable possible new boyfriend? - check", "Gratatious topless goodlooking females - check,check and check" and of course ... the usual "end of horroe movie cliche - Check". Seriously a 13 year old could have written this script ... some good kills and some good looking girls, if that does it for you then work a look.
