    Perhaps the most surprising thing about Forget Me Not is that it’s taken Brit filmmakers so long to get round to the young-couple-walk-around-a-big-city-during-one-night romantic sub-genre done so well by Before Sunrise/Sunset and In Search Of A Midnight Kiss. Musician Will (Tobias Menzies) saves barmaid Eve (Genevieve O’Reilly) from a drunk and they start an odyssey around London landmarks, taking in a run-in with a hen night, a silent disco, an egg and spoon race and meeting Eve’s mother (Gemma Jones). It lacks the smarts and sensitivities of Linklater and a hoary last reel revelation is misjudged, but the two make a likable pair, there’s some fun dialogue, and London sure looks a pretty place to fall in love.
