Saw it yesterday – thanks Movies.ie for a free preview! It was utterly hilarious, highly provocative and totally enjoyable. However, I hope that no one would take it seriously, like in thinking that Bruno represents an average gay guy etc.

Groundbreaking, hilarious and cringe worthy. That sums up everything about the Bruno movie. It’s cringing throughout as he plays up to stereotypes, phobias and fears and it’s hilarious to watch people squirm. I thought it was quite groundbreaking in that even though he goes for the cheap shots and easy targets with his stereotype, SBC takes it’ further so much further, in fact to the middle east. Only SBC could get away with mixing up Hummus and Hamas! This movie is provoking and pushes boundaries big time. Some aspects felt like it was almost ia Michael Moore spoof (eg the baby casting). It shows up nasty elements to our society but doesn’t dwell on them too much.SBC is a genius and manage to keep a poker face throughout which is quite a feat in itself. Be warned this movie is not for everyone’s taste and it will insult so bare that in mind when viewing.

Saw this last nite courtesy of movies.ie, thanks! Not as good as Borat. Some absolutely hilarious moments but mostly it was shockingly funny. Would give it a miss if you are easily offended!

Very funny at times. Hard to know if the scenes were staged at times. Favourite bits were the Jerry Springer Chat Show and him confusing Ron Paul for Ru-Paul. Definitely worth a look

Shocking, hilarious, over the top: all the things we've come to expect from Sacha Baron Cohen's ridiculous yet brilliant characters, Bruno does not disappoint. One can't help but notice some of the scenes felt a little staged, nevertheless it left me laughing out loud throughout! For a film which could easily have become a series of incoherent sketches, Bruno proves otherwise with a clear and concise objective, the pursuit of which takes its audience on a jaw-dropping, riotous, sidesplitting journey! Wunderbar!

Cheap, nasty and utterly without morals. This movie made me laugh, a lot. Shot in a documentary style but not a true documentary as did notice some actors as part of the skits. You will be appalled but you'll also be laughing so much you won't care.

Its not as good as Borat but Borat was absolute genius. Bruno is vulgar, shocking, brilliant, sick, offensive, provocative and most importantly a very very funny comedy.

Ok, I should start my review by saying I thought Borat was hilarious. That being said Bruno is a dreadful film. I did not laugh once during the entire thing - not a good thing for a comedy. None of the situations were particularly good, and the best thing I can say was that it was mercifully short. All that being said the cinema was in convultions last night at the movies.ie screening, so maybe I just did not "get it".

Saw the Preview of this (THANKS MOVIES.IE!). It's Crude. Over the Top. Got portions of Full Frontal Male Nudity and lots of zany / uncomfortable situations and I loved it. Laughed soo much my sides actually hut! And on the other end of that spectrum, i Cringed so much the sides of my eyes hurt! Go see this one. Well worth it! B+

Saw it last night too. Thanks for the tickets, movies.ie! I thought it was quite hit and miss. Some very funny pieces and some parts that just were not funny at all. It could be that using the stupidity of the American public to get laughs has become a bit tired. I somehow managed to miss Borat but I might watch it this weekend to compare. Anyway, if you want laughs from start to finish I'd suggest you watch The Hangover instead.

First thing First, I have to say thanks to Movies.ie for the tickets to see Bruno last night. A Great Night! This film was great, extremely funny and utterly shocking. It is on the same line as "Borat" But it's "Borat" to the extreme. Everyone in the cinema seemed to enjoy it. The place was full of laughter and there was a huge round of applause when it ended. More stunts, more laughs and more people offended. Sacha Baron Cohen has created a masterpiece of comedy. It's not a film that will suit everyone though. Children and people easily offended should stay clear, also wouldn't recommend watching it with your parents unless you like turning red! But I loved it. A Great nights entertainment.

I didn't think he could go much further after Borat, but he certainly has. It has to be seen to be believed. This is without a doubt the funniest film I've seen in the cinema for a long time, not for the easily offended, but for everyone else sit back and enjoy.

saw this film last nite thanks to movies.ie. found it very funny. borat was tame in comparison to bruno. its a long time since i laughed so much at a film and not only me, everyone seemed to be constantly laughing. impossible to pick a fav scene as there were so many excellent ones. again so funny to see people actually thinking this guy is real. if you're easily offended it may not be for you but then you should prob know from borat that it may not be your sort of film. would def recommend that you see this film.
