"Body of Lies" is based on "Washington Post" columnist David Ignatius' 2007 novel about a CIA operative, Roger Ferris, who uncovers a lead on a major terrorist leader suspected to be operating out of Jordan. When Ferris devises a plan to infiltrate his network, he must first win the backing of cunning CIA veteran Ed Hoffman and the collegial, but perhaps suspect, head of Jordanian intelligence. Although ostensibly his allies, Ferris questions how far he can really trust these men without putting his entire operation--and his life--on the line.

    Pretty good all around, liked the story, found russell crowe a little fat and annoying, leo ever impressive and reminiscent of his character in the departed, strong yet vulnerable, story well written, mark strong gave a great performance also.

    saw the film. it was brill. leo's acting skills are second to none. he plays as equally good a role as he did in blood diamond. i dispute the arguments that he was too young an actor to play the role of ferris. he suited and played the role brilliantly. definitely a film to go see. i would highly recommmend it.

    Not one of Ridley Scott's bet films but in no way is it his worst. Very similar to The Kingdom but the style and story are perhaps better in this one. Russell Crowe collaborates with Scott again and continues to impress. DiCaprio was good enough but in comparison to Crowe he was disappointing.
