worth a look, love british movies though
big dissapointment
captures the late 70s very well with a great sound track it showed what life in the firms was like
saw preview, good film
I am honour-bound to give Awaydays a good review, but that's OK because I feel it deserves one. This coming of age story is about friendship and the decisions we make. It is a story of idolisation and realisation. There are some great parts in the film - the soundtrack and the fight scenes are particularly worth mentioning, but equally, there are some messy parts but its a messy story so I can forgive it. Staple of the football movie - Stephen Graham - does a good turn as Pack leader and Nicky Bell and Liam Boyle do great jobs as the boys in the middle of it all. Sometimes I found the sound was a bit muddled and difficult to understand (and that's saying something as I am from northern England) but other than that, it is a solid effort and shows Liverpool as more (or less) than just the home of The Beatles.
