Its very slow moving...I warn you of that first but SO funny ...my God at several scenes I almost died laughing ..granted it wasnt meant to have that effect but there is so much to laugh at ...points include the fox's *chaos reigns*, the woman randomly turning green, the bloody ejaculation, the constant nudity and hardcore sex scene and the million falling acorns ...all of it just made a great laugh fest..it does portray a couple dealing with grief well but I found it more of a comedy!

I was Disappointed in this one. Its just way too dull. There are some shock scenes put in (probably just to hype it up)but they cant stop this film from being as entertaining as watching paint dry. Actually thats not fair watching paint dry is more entertaining.

Nonsensical drivel. Does Dafoe really need to take roles like this? Surely there are low-budget movies that he could offer his services to that need an actor of his standing in order for them to get funding. As Keitel did for Tarentino. Would fit him better.

I find LvTrier interesting because he's so unapologetic about his work. He says he's an *artist*, not an entertainer, and he doesn't give a fuck what anyone thinks about the art he makes - i find that interesting, and refreshing. I don't think he set out to shock with the movie, I think he set out to say something. And I think it says a lot of things about a lot of things. Tbh, anyone who gave it 0 is likely to be a) stupid, b) completely lacking in imagination, c) a prude, or d) all of the above. All art should be challenging, and I think his movie definitely is. I found it a rewarding cinematic and intellectual experience. It is graphic, but I don't think that necessarily makes it shocking. There's a small bit of genital mutilation, for example, but it's in there to make a point, not to appall people- and ya know it's only a latex mould when you see it happening anyway, so it's not that bad. Go see it! There's too much entertainment and not enough Art in cinemas nowadays!

A truly dreadful film. Everything about it is pure awful. The direction is a joke, if you think Michael Bay shakes the camera wait until you see this, and the blur, oh god the blur. Everything gets blurred for no reason whatsoever. Not to mention the excessive use of over the top slow motion. There's 3 people in the entire movie. The plot, if there is one is ludicrous at best, I honestly couldn't tell you what it was about. It's attempting to be artsy but it's "shocking" moments make you think 'why would you put that in the movie' rather than 'oh my god'. It's boring, tedious and unnecessary. An utter waste of time.
