I really enjoyed this film, Carey Mulligan really shines in this role of a young girl falling in lust with an older Con/ Married Man. This film is worth a look, very charming, and great acting!

Nothing particularly wrong with this film, but nothing particularly right either. Throwaway, light rom-com / coming-of-age story. Some funny moments, and a fantastic cast, but overall too light and simplistic to be memorable.

So-so story with cartoonish characters that never manage to make this film work. No doubts that the director is talented, but the film's plot is so uninteresting that after one hour you start wondering why was this film ever made. Seriously. Maybe the screenwriter never thought his story was predictable. Reviewers are praising Mulligan for her performance; I don't think it was that good. Rosamund Pike made a fantastic job playing the silly blonde although her character was a complete cliché. Emma Thompson made a funny cameo and Alfred Molina was very funny as well.
