PROMETHEUS 2 Lands GREEN LANTERN Scribe

Sci-fi sequel moves forward…

Multiple outlets are reporting that a sequel to Ridley Scott’s 2012 sci-fi ‘Prometheus’ is moving forward over at 20th Century Fox with Michael Green on board to provide the script.

An “unofficial” prequel to Scott’s ‘Alien’ series, the Jon Spaihts and Damon Lindelof-penned ‘Prometheus’ was set in the late 21st Century and followed a team of explorers who set out to discover the origins of mankind.

Sources for TheWrap hear that the sequel will be more in tone with the ‘Alien’ films, with plans to feature multiple ‘David’ androids, the character played by Michael Fassbender in ‘Prometheus.’

Green, who was one of the five writers behind 2011’s ‘Green Lantern,’ recently worked with Scott on the screenplay for his new ‘Blade Runner’ film.

Scott will produce the film via his Scott Free banner, although it is unknown if the veteran filmmaker will be taking the director’s chair.
