THR is reporting that Reese Witherspoon (‘Inherent Vice,’ ‘Wild’) is to star in Disney’s ‘Tink,’ a live-action take on Peter Pan’s fairy heroine, Tinkerbell.
Plot details are under wraps, but the trade hears the film will be in the vein of ‘Maleficent,’ and is conceived as “the story you don’t know.” Victoria Strouse, the screenwriter behind the upcoming ‘Finding Nemo’ sequel, ‘Finding Dory,’ will provide the script.
Witherspoon, whose latest, ‘Hot Pursuit,’ hits Irish cinemas July 31st, will produce ‘Tink’ with Bruna Papandrea, her partner at Pacific Standard.
