Robbie Pickering Takes THE KITCHEN SINK

movie news | 08 Feb 2012 | 1 comments

Creature mashup gets its director.

Last year it was revealed that ’21 Jump Street’ and ‘The Sitter’ star Jonah Hill was looking to make the move into directing with a sci-fi horror mash-up titled ‘The Kitchen Sink.’ Well now Deadline has word that Hill is out, with Sony Pictures tapping ‘Natural Selection’ director Robbie Pickering to direct the project.

The creature mash-up follows the unlikely alliance between a high school-aged vampire, zombie and human as they try to save their town from an alien invasion.

Pickering will be directing from the Black List screenplay from ‘Mortal Kombat: Rebirth’ scribe Oren Uziel. Matt Tolmach ('The Amazing Spider-Man') is on board as producer.

I like the sound of the idea on paper at least, but I reckon it'll be a tough one to make.
