THR reports that director Joe Johnston (‘The Wolfman,’ ‘Jurassic Park III,’ ‘The Rocketeer’) has been tapped to take the director’s chair for the micro-budgeted thriller ‘Not Safe For Work.’
Penned by Adam Mason and Simon Boyes (‘The Devil's Chair’), the thriller follows a young paralegal who is trapped in the office with a killer on a mission to destroy files for another corporation.
The film will be produced by Jason Blum (‘Paranormal Activity,’ ‘Insidious’) via his Blumhouse Pictures banner. While the $2.5 million budget project is a radical change for Johnston, the director is believed to have a back-end deal set up to receive a cut of the profits if the movie proves to be a hit.
