Amy Adams to Produce and Star in OBJECT OF BEAUTY

‘Enchanted’ actress to lead adaptation of ‘Object of Beauty.’

THR reports that Amy Adams (‘The Muppets,’ ‘The Fighter’) has signed on to star in and produce an adaptation of the Steve Martin’s novel ‘An Object of Beauty.’

The story follows an art entrepreneur “over 15 years of her life, as she acquires her own gallery, travels the world and tangles romantically with a series of men, including one who becomes a famous artist.”

Celine Rattray and Trudie Styler will producer via their Maven Pictures banner. In a statement, the producers said:

“We couldn’t be happier to be working with the brilliant Amy Adams on this adaptation of Steve Martin’s smart novel. This project continues on Maven’s mission of making films that highlight strong female characters and talent.”

The project is now on the hunt for a screenwriter and director to adapt the novel.
