Scribe Hired for THE HANGOVER PART III

Studio hires scribe for The Wolf Pack’s third outing.

Screenwriter Craig Mazin has been tapped to pen ‘The Hangover Part III’ for Warner Bros. The scribe penned the second movie with Scot Armstrong.

Talking to Badass Digest in a recent interview, Mazin joked about how he would end a third movie.

“I think the third movie ends with Doug staring at a row of crosses in a graveyard. It’s everyone – his wife, his family is dead, everybody from the first movie is dead. Somebody shows up and tells him his dog is dead.”

At a press conference for ‘The Hangover Part II,’ director Todd Phillips talked about a third movie and how it would differ to the previous movies:

“If If we were to do a third one, if the audience, if the desire was there, I think we have a very clear idea where that would head. It’s certainly not in the same template that you’ve seen these movies. The third would be very much a finale and an ending."

"The most I could say about it, what’s in my head, and I haven’t discussed it with these actors, is that it is not following that template but very much a new idea. As far as where it takes place, I said I’m very open, like the Olympic committee, to being pitched and presented cities, flown around with wine and women and bribed. Then I will make my decision.”

well he needs something original the second movie (as amusing as it was) was just a carbon copy of the first just in a second city. I almost feel cheated by it (but then again i did laugh so i cant complain too much)

Craig Mazin should be kept as far away from this movie as possible

heard that they're planning to have this one in Amsterdam?

Amsterdam would make sense, and I'm just wondering who'll be getting married in the next one. The only thing that makes sense is it'll be Alan, which should be funny. I didn't dislike the second Hangover as the majority of critics did and thought it was just a little worse than the first. I'm all up for a third, but no more after that.
