Oliver Platt is the Man in Black...

Oliver Platt is the latest cast member to be confirmed for X-Men: First Class.

Helmed by Matthew Vaughn, Platt will reportedly be playing a character called the Man in Black.

Rose Byrne was also recently confirmed to star in the film, which will star James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Alice Eve, Kevin Bacon, Nicholas Hoult, Jennifer Lawrence, Caleb Landry Jones, Lucas Till, Edi Gathegi and Jason Flemyng

The film is expected to open in cinemas June 3, 2011.

This cast just keeps getting better. At first I wasn't bothered about this project, actually getting a little excited about it now :)

On paper this seems okay but the same could have been said for wolverine, otherwise to be known as the film which we dare not speak it's name.

I think this will be good. A fantastic cast has been put together and with Vaughn directing I can't see it going too badly. Wolverine was shit but this is a completely different project so you shouldn't right it off because of it.
