Disney has hired Marc Guggenheim (‘Green Lantern’) to pen a screenplay for the studio’s time travelling adventure ‘Time Zones.’
‘Time Zones’ is a high concept thriller set “after an event that causes the world to spontaneously develop “time zones,” described as fractures in space-time which replace various segments of the world with identical geography from the past and future; so it might be 1750 in France, 300 B.C. in China and 2065 in New York.”
The story centers on a man who decides to use this new means of time travel as his chance to change the past and prevent his wife’s death. With his estranged daughter in tow he sets out to save his wife.
Mark Gordon (‘Source Code,’ ‘2012’) is on board as producer. Along with ‘Time Zones,’ Guggenheim is also attached to pen the big screen outing of DC Comics’ ‘The Flash’ for Warner Bros. and will reteam with ‘Green Lantern’ co-writers Greg Berlanti and Michael Green for the sequel.
