‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ actress up for Effie Gray biopic.

Thompson On Hollywood reports that Keira Knightley is in talks to play artistic muse Euphemia 'Effie' Gray in the biopic ‘Untouched’ for Brazilian director Andrucha Waddington (‘House of Sand’).

Penned by Aleksandra Crapanzano, the film follows the real-life love affair between this beautiful young woman, trapped in a “loveless,” unconsummated marriage to British art critic John Ruskin, and his protégé, pre-Raphelite painter John Everett Millais.

‘Untouched’ is one of two projects on Effie Gray, the other film, ‘Effie,’ was penned by Emma Thompson and is set to star Dakota Fanning (‘The Runaways’), Greg Wise, Tom Sturridge (‘The Boat That Rocked’), Julie Walters, Derek Jacobi and Edward Fox.

    Two Effie Gray films on the way. I hate that. Make one and then if that does well by all means make another. Prefer the sound of the Knightley version right now.
