Deadline has word that long time TV director Alan Taylor has been tapped by Marvel to take the director’s chair for ‘Thor 2.’ He replaces Patty Jenkins who dropped out of the project following creative differences with the studio.
Taylor, who has been behind the camera for numerous episodes of ‘Game of Thrones,’ ‘Boardwalk Empire,’ 'Bored to Death,' 'Lost,' 'Oz' and ‘Nurse Jackie,' also directed 1995s crime comedy 'Palookaville.'
‘Thor 2’ is now back on track to meet its November 2013 release date.
