‘Made in Dagenham’ actress takes a role in ‘Shifty’ director’s thriller.

Andrea Riseborough (‘Made in Dagenham,’ ‘Never Let Me Go’) has landed the female lead in ‘Shifty’ director Eran Creevy’s crime thriller ‘Welcome to the Punch,’ reports Variety. The actress joins James McAvoy (‘X-Men: First Class’) and Mark Strong (‘The Guard,’ ‘Green Lantern’).

The movie follows a London detective (McAvoy) who has to work together with his old nemesis, an armed robber called Red Diesel (Strong), to uncover a massive conspiracy.

Riseborough is currently in Ireland shooting James Marsh’s thriller ‘Shadow Dancer’ with Clive Owen, Aidan Gillen, Gillian Anderson and Domhnall Gleeson.

    Story sounds a bit stupid, but the people playing them are good enough to get me interested in this.
