Morris Chestnut & Robert Emms Join KICK-ASS 2

Yancy Butler back for sequel.

Deadline has word that Morris Chestnut (‘Think Like a Man,’ ‘American Horror Story’) and British actor Robert Emms have been added to the cast of ‘Kick-Ass 2.’

Chestnut will take the role of Sergeant Marcus Williams, the “guardian” for Chloë Moretz’s ass-kicking Hit-Girl. Omari Hardwick played Marcus in the original film.

Emms, who most recently appeared in ‘Mirror Mirror’ and ‘War Horse,’ will be playing Insect Man, a policeman who becomes a costumed superhero by night to do things that his day job won’t allow him to do.

Yancy Butler is back to reprise her role of Nancy D’Amico — Mother to Christopher Mintz-Plasse’s Chris D’Amico, aka Red Mist.

The Jeff Wadlow-directed film will adapt Mark Millar and John Romita Jr.’s recent ‘Kick-Ass 2’ comic mini-series as well as ‘Hit Girl,’ which is in the middle of its run.
