Mark Millar is to make his directorial debut with a superhero film titled Miracle Park.
Described as part X-Men meets Trainspotting, the movie combines horror and thriller elements with traditional comic book influences.
The story is set in modern-day Scotland, following a group of animal rights activists who stumble across a secret US military base.
Principal photography on the project is expected to wrap up in late October. The film will be shoot entirely with handheld cameras.
