Deadline is reporting that Michael Cuesta, who recently directed Jeremy Renner in the real-life drama ‘Kill The Messenger,’ has signed on to take the helm of Matt Billingsly’s Black List screenplay ‘Code Name Veil.’
Based on true events, ‘Code Name Veil’ is the inside story of a group of American spies in 1980s Beirut investigating terrorist attacks on the U.S. Embassy and Marine barracks. In an absurd twist, they become embroiled in the Iran-Contra affair, one of the most explosive political scandals in American history.
