Michael Caine calls Dark Knight sequel “really extraordinary”.

Michael Caine has been teasing Batman fans in a recent interview with Collider, saying he was sworn to secrecy but that the finished product would be worth waiting for.”We’ve all signed the Official Secrets Act, I’m lucky to be able to tell you the title of the movie.” Joked the actor who has worked on several movies with director Christopher Nolan, including ‘The Prestige’ and ‘Inception’.

“I remember I did an interview and someone said to me, ‘What are you doing next?’ I said, ‘I’m doing Batman’. I saw Chris and he said, ‘Why did you tell them you were doing Batman? You’re supposed to keep it secret’… I couldn’t keep that a secret.”

When pushed for a spoiler Caine admitted “Let me tell you… the plot is extraordinary… really extraordinary. I know why [Christopher Nolan] wants to keep it a secret. You really need not to know till you see the movie. I’ve been lucky [to work with Christopher Nolan]. This is my fifth movie with him. It’s such a pleasure to work with him and he’s so clever.”

THE DARK KNIGHT hits Irish cinemas on July 20th 2012 (that’s exactly one year away – not long now!)
