New addition for magician heist flick.
‘The Dark Knight’ star Michael Caine is set to take a role in the Louis Letterier-directed criminal-magicians action thriller ‘Now You See Me.’ Moviehole revealed the casting following a tip off from a source. The casting has since been confirmed by The Playlist.
Starring Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Mark Ruffalo, Mélanie Laurent, Isla Fisher, Morgan Freeman and Dave Franco, the movie centers on a game of cat-and-mouse between the FBI and ‘The Four Horsemen,’ a squad of the world’s greatest illusionists who pull off a series of daring bank heists during their performances, then shower the profits on their audience.
Caine will be playing Arthur Tressler, the magicians’ sponsor. Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci and Bobby Cohen will produce. The screenplay comes from Boaz Yakin (‘Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time’) and newcomer Edward Ricourt.
