Michael Bay’s Benghazi Drama 13 HOURS Eyes John Krasinski

Harrelson, Simmons, Goggins and more also up for roles…

John Krasinski (‘The Office,’ ‘Away We Go,’ ‘Promised Land’) is reportedly in talks for the lead role in Michael Bay’s next, the political drama ’13 Hours.’

The film is based on Mitchell Zuckoff’s book of the same name that recounts the 2012 attack on the U.S. Special Mission Compound in Libya. Bay’s film will focus on the six-man security team that fought to repel the attackers and protect the Americans stationed there.

According to THR, Krasinski will play a security operator who goes by the pseudonym Jack Silva in the Zuckoff’s book. Variety also hears that the likes of Woody Harrelson, J.K. Simmons, Walton Goggins and Shea Whigham have been reading for roles.

Chuck Hogan (‘The Town,’ ‘The Strain’) adapted the screenplay and Erwin Stoff of 3 Arts Entertainment is producing.
